toothache

Pineapple
Toothache  is the pain located around the teeth and the jaw and is usually caused by caries and periodontal disease.
The toothache has different symptoms. It may be transient or continuous. It is often aggravated when eating or drinking, especially if the food or drink is hot or cold. It may be mild or intense. It can also be sharp and start suddenly. Possibly, it grows during the night especially when we lie down.
Sometimes it is difficult to tell if the pain comes from the upper or lower jaw. When the pain is due to a mandible of the mandible, the pain gives the impression that it comes from the ear. The toothache in the upper teeth may give the impression that it comes from the bones, ie the small cavities in the upper jaw and the forehead.
The area around the carious tooth is usually sensitive to touch. Frequently, periodontal disease causes blunt pain. Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection that affects the soft and hard tissues surrounding the teeth.
If the toothache persists for more than a couple of days, it is necessary to visit the dentist. If the cause of the toothache is not treated in time, the contamination of the pulp will be extended, resulting in abscess formation, with a strong and persistent pulse pain.

1) Causes of Toothache due to Dental Nerve Injury:
A carious funnel that creates holes in the hard surface of the tooth.
Tooth fracture - breaking or cracking can be too small and not seen with the naked eye.
Sealing or sealing fracture.
Those that recede and reveal the root of the tooth, which is more sensitive to pain caused by chemical, mechanical, thermal or microbial stimuli.
Pericardial abscess: the end of the tooth root due to bacterial infection (caries).
2) Causes found in the gums (periodontium):

  • Periodontitis.
  • Periodontal abscess: a collection of bowel in the gums due to bacterial inflammation.
  • Ulcer of the gum.
  • Gingival irritation when a tooth rises, for example, the wisdom teeth.
3) Sinusitis.
4) Diseases of temporomandibular structure.

  Treatment of
the toothache:
The type of treatment depends on the cause of the pain. Clinical examination and intraoral radiography are essential to complete the diagnosis.
If the pain is due to a dental nerve, a seal or denervation will solve the problem.
If it is due to gingivitis or periodontitis, treatment is done by cleaning and treating gingivitis or periodontitis.
In advanced carious lesions, deep fractures or incised teeth, it may be necessary to extract the tooth.

  How to prevent the toothache:
The best way to avoid the appearance of dental pain is to keep our teeth and gums as healthy as possible. Analytically:
Restrict consumption of sugary foods and beverages.
Brushing the teeth twice a day.
Avoiding smoking as it aggravates some dental problems.
The dentist will advise you on how often you need to check your oral and dental condition. Re-testing every six months is the ideal time to prevent lesions that may develop into caries or periodontitis.
